Job Description

An Early Intervention Service Coordinator helps families of children (birth-3 years) access developmental services. They act as the primary contact, ensuring children receive appropriate support under programs guided by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part C . Key Responsibilities Serve as the main point of contact for families throughout the EI process Conduct intake and gather developmental history and family concerns Coordinate evaluations and assessments for eligibility Help develop and implement the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) Schedule and monitor services such as speech, occupational, or physical therapy Connect families with community resources and support services Advocate for the child's and family's needs Maintain accurate case records and documentation Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EI regulations Support transition planning when the child approaches age 3 (e.g., to preschool services) Required Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills (especially with families) Empathy and cultural sensitivity Organization and case management abilities Knowledge of child development basics Problem-solving and advocacy skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases Education & Qualifications Bachelor's degree or Associate degree Relevant experience with children or families preferred Knowledge of early childhood development and disabilities
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
