Marquette Position Type:
Full-Time | Salary Accepting application through May 6th, 2025. Wellspring is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families, and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a Family Preservation Social Worker to join our MiFT Program, supporting families throughout Michigan's Upper Peninsula, including Marquette, Iron, Delta, Dickinson, and Menominee counties. You will provide home-based, family-centered services designed to help families remain together and ensure the safety and well-being of children. You will use a strength-based, non-deficit approach to empower families and connect them with vital community resources. Responsibilities Learn, follow and educate families according to the MiFT program model of service (strength-based, non-deficit approach). Provide and assist families in obtaining concrete services, such as housing, transportation, home cleaning, maintenance and repair, etc. Provide skills training including but not limited to parenting, self-advocacy, self-sufficiency and communication. Provide short term counseling and crisis intervention for families. Make collateral contacts to arrange outpatient counseling or medical care; address educational needs; assist with utility needs; resolve housing issues with landlords, shelters or potential housing programs; and connect families with community resources. Prepare documentation (service plans, progress reports, termination summaries, goal sheets, weekly plans, time reports, letters, etc.) within the appropriate time frames. Prepare and present each case for termination conference with contractor, recommending follow-up services. Maintain face to face contact with families according to the contract defined frequency and the individual needs of each family. Maintain weekly contact, or more as needed, with referring workers. Complete follow-up evaluations of families at 3 and 6 months following service. Transport clients in your own vehicle as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social work or a human services related field, required. Experience working with children and families. Valid driver's license, current car registration and auto insurance, required. Reliable with a responsible attitude, compassionate approach and commitment to quality.

Day shift, with flexible hours to see clients as needed Hybrid /
Remote:
Home-based position serving locally within the community and service area daily.
Travel:
Milage reimbursement provided•occasional travel to Marquette Office for meetings and supervision.
Salary:
