W-2 or 1099 (open to discussion) About the Firm We are a small, applicant-side workers' compensation law practice seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Case Manager to support day-to-day case operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced WC professional looking for consistent part-time work in a focused, low-drama environment. Position Overview The Case Manager will be responsible for managing intake, correspondence, and clerical tasks related to workers' compensation cases. This role requires prior familiarity with California workers' compensation procedures and terminology.

The firm operates out of a private home office. Strict professionalism, confidentiality, and comfort working in a quiet home-office environment are required.
Responsibilities Handle incoming intake phone calls and initial client communications Draft and manage QME correspondence , including requests and follow-ups Prepare and process PTP designation letters Scanning, filing, & shredding mail Drafting and E-filing the Application for Adjudication Maintain and organize client files (digital and physical as applicable) Track deadlines, medical records, and correspondence Perform general clerical and administrative tasks related to WC cases Communicate professionally with clients, medical offices, and opposing parties Qualifications Prior experience in California workers' compensation (required) Familiarity with QME and PTP processes Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Proficiency with basic office software (Word, PDF handling, email, case management systems a plus) Preferred (Not Required) Experience working in a plaintiff-side WC firm Legal assistant, case manager, or paralegal background Prior remote or small-office experience Work Environment Part-time, consistent daily hours Hybrid potential after training (depending on experience and performance) Quiet, professional home-office setting
