Full Job Description Essential Functions:
The Child Outreach Screener will administer a brief standardized, reliable, and valid instrument to the total population, ages 3-5, in the child's native language in the following areas: Vision Hearing Developmental Functioning level Speech & Language Health Questionnaire The Screener will be intensively trained in the administration of two screening instruments and is directly responsible to the Child Outreach Coordinator. Hours vary depending on the number of screenings to be completed.
Duties:
Responsible for the efficient administration of selected screening instruments to children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old. Deals courteously and effectively with parents and children. Records, results of screening meticulously and accurately. Maintains appropriate records on each child. Performs screening in an atmosphere of confidentiality. Organizes screening center as outlined by the Child Outreach Plan. Assists in soliciting public interest and support, when necessary.

Returns completed screening instruments to the Child Outreach Coordinator when completed. Assumes other duties as may be assigned by the Child Outreach Coordinator.
