Program Dates:
July 7•30, 2026 Tuesday•Thursday
Hours:
Monday•Thursday from 8:30 AM•3:30 PM The Summer Site Coordinator serves as a liaison for the 2026 Summer Program to facilitate student engagement and academic success. Not to exceed $2,500 (contingent upon funding)
EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Education from an accredited teacher education program
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Prior experience in an education, especially in an urban setting (preferred) Background and experience in the interpretation of educational assessments Knowledge and understanding of Common Core State Standards Excellent communication skills Strong organizational, interpersonal, and supervisory skills
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND CURRICULAR LINKAGES
Provide information and support to the summer learning program parents, students, teachers, and staff Assist administration and teachers collect and report data to guide the summer learning program decision making and the program improvement process Monitor implementation of program goals to ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations for academic and support systems Collaborate with program administration, teachers, students, and parents; serve as a POC for parent engagement Assist teachers with acquisition of instructional materials for students; facilitate teacher needs as required Assist program administration with scheduling, student monitoring, and student discipline Promote a school atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of all students Monitor and evaluate student outcomes maintaining appropriate records and following all required procedures and practices Participate fully in a professional community including common planning, professional development, and selfreflection/evaluation Supervise students in a range of settings; protect and promote the safety and well-being of students, colleagues, equipment, materials and facilities Communicate and interact appropriately and professionally with students, colleagues, parents and the community Continuously develop and evolve teaching practice and support colleagues in their development Support the Summer Learning Program Director Must commit to working all days of program Providence Public Schools is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that is actively seeking to increase minority recruitment among its administrators and teaching staff.
