Preschool Coordinator Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls Mitchell, SD Posted/Updated:
1 days ago Job Description St. John Paul II Catholic School (Preschool-6th grade) seeks a dedicated FT Preschool Coordinator to lead our faith-filled preschool and after-school program. Teaching certificate not required. Reporting to the Principal, you'll create a nurturing, safe, and joyful environment that supports students while embodying our Catholic mission.
Rate:
$19 DOE.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead prayer, faith reflection, and activities aligned with Catholic traditions. Model the teachings of the Catholic Church in word and action. Communicate regularly with parents, build trusting relationships, and collaborate on student needs. Schedule and oversee program staff; ensure new hires complete required background checks and training. Set behavioral expectations, manage the group effectively, and maintain a clean, organized, safe space. Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and contribute to a positive Catholic school culture.
Qualifications:
Active, practicing Catholic in good standing, committed to living and teaching in accordance with Roman Catholic doctrines and the Diocese of Sioux Falls Code of Ethical Standards. Experience working with children (daycare, preschool, or school setting preferred); Early Childhood Education degree a plus. Strong verbal/written communication, organizational, and management skills. Proactive, solution-focused attitude with a genuine love for young children and a joyful, positive demeanor. Willingness to grow professionally and spiritually through workshops, meetings, and Diocesan events.
