The Social Worker position works at the Center for Addiction and Recovery Studies (CARS) to provide prevention and intervention services in the community. This position works with at-risk children, youth, adults, and families. The work completed by the social worker may be provided in the office or at community sites such as local schools, medical facilities, client homes, non-profit agencies, community centers and other community sites. The Social Worker conducts outreach, attends community meetings, engages clients while assessing for needs and risk factors, develops services plans, provides social work interventions, conducts individual case management sessions, connects clients with community resources to meet needs, provides counseling and guidance, delivers educational presentations, and facilitates groups..Delivers assigned prevention / intervention programs with quality and fidelity. This includes evidenced based models of intervention and the development of replicable models for program activities.

Supervises assigned interns as Practicum Supervisor or Task Manager to ensure compliance with CARS procedures, grant requirements and School of Social Work Practicum Office requirements.

Gathers accurate information and submits programmatic reports within required time frames.

Performs other duties as assigned to support the programs, CARS operations and School of Social Work..Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).Must have reliable form of transportation..Two (2) or more years of post-graduation experience.

Experience with substance use disorders and/or mental health disorders.

Bilingual (Spanish/ English).Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
