Developmental Play and Social Skills Specialist Round Rock, TX Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15 - $20 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Early childhood education Bachelor's degree Workshop facilitation Full Job Description We are seeking a creative, energetic, and compassionate Developmental Play & Social Skills Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about child development, play-based learning, and fostering social-emotional growth in young children. The specialist will design and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate programs including mommy-and-me classes, sensory play groups, social skills groups, and themed birthday parties. This individual will play a key role in building a welcoming, inclusive, and enriching environment for children and families. Key Responsibilities Design, plan, and facilitate: Mommy-and-me classes Sensory play groups Social skills groups for various age ranges Structured and themed birthday party experiences Develop age-appropriate, play-based curricula that support social, emotional, and developmental milestones Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children and caregivers Manage materials, supplies, and setup/cleanup for all activities and events Monitor group dynamics and support positive peer interactions Communicate effectively with parents regarding child engagement and progress Collaborate with clinical or administrative staff as needed Maintain organization of program schedules, materials, and attendance Qualifications Bachelor's degree in one of the following (or related field): Child Development Early Childhood Education Psychology Experience working with young children (ages [insert range, e.g., 0-8]) in group settings Strong understanding of developmental milestones and play-based learning Experience with sensory play and/or social skills development preferred Creative, organized, and self-motivated Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage groups of children and engage caregivers Preferred Qualifications Experience leading parent-child classes or group programs Background in sensory integration or social-emotional learning Experience planning events or themed activities (e.g., birthday parties) Key Skills & Traits Warm, engaging, and enthusiastic personality Strong leadership and group facilitation skills Creativity in planning interactive activities Flexibility and adaptability Strong organizational and multitasking abilities What We Offer Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunities to design and grow programs Flexible scheduling option
