Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work and possess the skills necessary to support individuals and families facing various challenges. This role involves providing crisis intervention, addiction counseling, and behavioral health support while working collaboratively with clients to promote their well-being and resilience. Duties Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate intervention plans. Provide crisis management and intervention services to individuals in distress. Offer addiction counseling and support for clients struggling with substance use disorders. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavior changes. Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns within the social work team. Collaborate with community resources, including Section 8 housing programs, childcare services, and workforce development initiatives. Advocate for clients within the child welfare system, ensuring their rights and needs are met. Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in compliance with Medicare regulations. Qualifications A degree in Social Work or a related field is required; licensure is preferred. Experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health, and addiction counseling is highly desirable. Strong understanding of child welfare policies and practices. Proven ability to manage crises effectively while maintaining a calm demeanor. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations. Supervising experience is a plus, along with a passion for mentoring others in the field. Familiarity with community resources related to childcare, housing assistance, and workforce development is beneficial.
