Non-Exempt Summary of Position:
Community-Based Child and Family Counselor (QMHP-C) is responsible for providing direct clinical services to youth and their families in home, school, and community settings. This role focuses on delivering individualized, strength-based interventions using a comprehensive wraparound approach that actively engages both youth and their caregivers. Initiate, organize, plan, and implement individualized clinical interventions for assigned youth and families. Develop and deliver service plans using a strength-based, wraparound model that engages caregivers and support systems Provide services in community-based settings, including homes, schools, and other natural environments. Collaborate with families, stakeholders, and service providers to support treatment goals. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements. Support youth and families in building skills and accessing resources across educational, social, and behavioral domains. Services are delivered in the community - this is not an office-based role. Flexible scheduling with hours that may include evenings and weekends, depending on participant needs.
Pay:
$30.00 per hour
Qualifications/Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field (required) Must meet Virginia QMHP-C criteria , including: At least 1 year of clinical experience working with children/adolescents , or Equivalent combination of education and supervised experience as defined by DBHDS Active QMHP-C registration or eligibility in Virginia required Experience providing services to children and families in a clinical or community-based setting preferred Strong communication, organization, and engagement skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred Bilingual (e.g., Spanish speaking) skills a plus Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required
