Options Counselor Newport, VT $18.53 - $19.46 an hour - Full-time $18.53 - $19.46 an hour - Full-time The Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging has a opening for an Options Counselor in our Newport office. Can you be both curious and patient in helping Older Vermonters and their caregivers explore the wide range of services and programs that might support their desire for independence and dignity? If the answer is yes, then we want to talk with you! Ideal applicants require a willingness to explore options for resourceful planning that help clients live in the setting of their choice. The ability to work cooperatively with community partners ensuring an integrated approach is achieved is essential. Home visiting is required throughout Orleans and Northern Essex Counties. Skills to be successful in this job include exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as use of computer and database system. Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential skills. This is a 40-hour position with a generous benefits package.
