Bilingual-Spanish Family Resources Coordinator and Helping Parent Support- Early Intervention Do you enjoy working with children with disabilities & helping their families find success in meeting their outcome goals? South Sound Parent to Parent (SSP2P) is a non-profit with a high level of commitment to families and caregivers of children with special needs. We are, among other things, the Early Intervention Provider Agency in Thurston, S. Mason and Grays Harbor Counties for Early Support for Infants and Toddlers. As a Family Resources Coordinator and Helping Parent Support (FRC/HP), you will serve as a welcoming first point of contact for families entering our program, while also providing ongoing support to caregivers after their child exits services. In this role, you will extend a warm and compassionate presence, both in voice and action, while listening attentively to each family's concerns, priorities, and goals. You will partner with families to identify and access resources that support their child's unique developmental needs, as well as their long-term life goals, empowering caregivers every step of the way. Family Resources Coordinator (FRC)Duties:
- Learn about resources from the community and pass the appropriate resources on to the families
- Respect for unique family cultures; working with diverse populations; working in diverse environments
- Work with infants and toddlers demonstrating developmental delays; help develop strategies with families/support team to encourage growth and development
- Compassion, kindness, and equitable treatment of all
- Work directly with parents and caregivers, Parent Coaching
- Provide knowledge and experience with regards to early child development (Birth to Three) as a collaborative team member to ensure comprehensive Part C service plans
- Continually navigating the early intervention process with families of children with disabilities
- Participate in Part C/IDEA/Early Intervention keeping within compliance of program regulations
- Maintain organization over documentation and paperwork for each family in service
- Provide relationship building that can turn into trusted support for families
- Facilitation of meeting with the families and the multidisciplinary team to come up with person centered, measurable, family friendly outcomes
- Being inquisitive, asking questions, bringing together all the data in a reportable format
- Independent time manager with active moving timelines
- Typing, maintaining a calendar, house visits, phone contact, virtual meeting, excel data gathering, daily outlook communication
- Attention to detail Helping Parent Assistant (HP)
Duties:
