Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Youth & Family Ministry Director to lead and inspire our community's youth (infant to 12th grade) and their families. This vital role involves developing engaging programs, fostering spiritual growth, and creating a welcoming environment for children, teenagers, and their families. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated leader with a heart for mentoring, teaching, and supporting young people through spirit-based initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by nurturing the next generation in a vibrant, spirit-centered community. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive youth and family ministry programs and curricula that promote spiritual development, community engagement, and personal growth. Create a Sunday program that is exciting, fun, well-coordinated, and based on Unity Principles. Coordinate & lead weekly youth meetings, family events, retreats, and outreach activities that foster connection and faith. Collaborate with our Spiritual Leader, church staff, volunteers, and parents to coordinate educational workshops, special events, and service projects aligned with the church's mission. Oversee 20+ volunteers and recruit, train, and schedule volunteers to ensure a supportive environment for all participants. Maintain effective communication with families through newsletters, social media updates, and personal outreach to encourage participation and engagement. Coordinate an annual week-long day camp in the summer for kids. Coordinate and support fundraising and service projects Collaborate with other Unity Centers/ Churches Qualifications Bachelors Degree preferred. Experience in leading youth programs within a spiritual or religious-based setting or community organization. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate volunteers and build collaborative teams. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to connect effectively with children, teens, parents, and other Center staff. Experience in planning/ organizing retreats, camps, family nights, and outreach events successfully. Ability to work with children and families of diverse backgrounds while demonstrating patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
Pay:
$18,000.00 - $22,000.00 per year
