Job Description

The School District of Onalaska is seeking a passionate, community-minded Family-School Liaison. This role is to bridge the gap between home and school, connecting families with vital resources to help students thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
Flexible Schedule:
A 190-day contract with built-in flexibility for some summer hours and school-year breaks.
Job-Share Opportunity:
While designed as a full-time role, we are highly open to a job-share arrangement for two qualified part-time applicants. Qualifications Understanding of how school systems, community services, and family dynamics intersect, and wants to use their specialized background to help kids thrive by ensuring their families are supported. Holds (or is able to obtain) a professional license that reflects their dedication to supporting families and children (preferred). Possess a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field (required) Maintain established community connections while practicing cultural competence, humility, and a social justice-minded approach. Engage effectively with students, families, and community members from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds. Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and active listening across all interactions with staff, students, parents, and the public. Utilize a deep, comprehensive knowledge of available community resources to actively assist families. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Willing to work flexible hours to meet family needs. Such qualifications administration may find appropriate.
