You will be hired directly by the family to provide support to a child in need. They are your employer, this is not an Agency position! The perfect candidate is patient and understanding, someone who wants to spend a few hours a week taking a child to and from sports activities and helping to build his confidence and social skills. Mileage reimbursement is also included. The right candidate will have availability during the evenings and weekends. Responsibilities Engage with child by attending taking child to and from Karate, YMCA programs, playing basketball. Provide safe supervision and assistance during respite sessions, ensuring the physical and emotional safety of participants at all times Support participants in developing social skills, independence, and self-esteem through mentoring and teaching activities Assist with transportation arrangements or outings as needed to enrich the respite experience Requirements Passion for working with children and individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience, empathy, and strong communication skills Reliable transportation Must be able to pass a background check
