Job Description

Introduction The Department of Health Services (DHS), Wisconsin Resource Center (WRC) is recruiting for a Social Worker . This position may be filled at the Social Worker

  • Clinical level based on the selected candidate's credentials as well as facility needs.
This position will work Monday-Friday, daytime hours. Come and work for the best! Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program employer. Position Summary As a Social Worker at WRC, you will be responsible for: Developing social service plans for pre-release residents. Providing professional social service consultations. Providing transfer and discharge planning and Reclassifications and Parole Board summaries. Co-facilitating the preparation of pre-release resident treatment plans. In addition to the responsibilities above, Social Workers at the Advanced or Clinical level may also provide individual or group psychotherapy, under supervision or independently depending on credentials. Salary Information The starting pay for this position is between $36.11 and $45.53 per hour, based on years of licensure. Future increases are based on years of licensure in the chart below. The pay schedule and range is 12/64 or 12/63. Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is eligible for an additional hourly add-on based on credentials: Substance Abuse Counselor-in-Training (SAC-IT) = $1.00/hour Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) = $1.50/hour Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) = $2.00/hour Job Details All appointees will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by WRC or medical personnel approved by the facility within 30 days of the start date. DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire. eligible employer. Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following: Certification or eligible
  • for certification as a Social Worker, Advanced Practice Social Worker, or a Clinical Social Worker in the State of Wisconsin. Applicants must be certified in Wisconsin by the time of appointment. Experience working with persons with mental illness or substance use disorder. Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Eligible is defined as: you currently hold certification in another state and are eligible to obtain licensure in Wisconsin.
Well-qualified applicants will also have one or both of the following: Experience facilitating individual or group counseling.
