Job Description

The Kids First Program is a monitored parenting and child exchange program. The Kids First Program is under the direction of the Family Crisis Intervention Center, which is a non profit organization which provides services to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking. The Kids First Program is a licensed program through the Family Protection Services Board. Our program provides safer conditions for children to have access to their parents without the parents having access to each other. We provide two services through our program. First is child exchanges and second is monitored visitations. We provide these services to anyone court ordered to our program. We are looking for a person who is dependable, dedicated, willing to learn, a people person, capable of making decisions, highly motivated, and truly wants to make a commitment to working with families in our local community offering safer conditions while during their parenting time. •
HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE NOT FLEXABLE
•Wednesday 2-8 p.m. Friday 2-8 p.m. Sunday 12 - 8 p.m. The hours for this program are to accommodate the court system and the typical parenting schedules ordered.
Qualifications:
1. High School graduate or GED required. College classes in child development preferred. 2. Good written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer skills, required. 3. Ability to work unsupervised or a team member. 4. Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds. 5. Current valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of car insurance, required. 6. Successfully pass a Background Check and Drug Test, required. 7. Possess the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with clients/providers.
Duties:
1. Oversee child/parent monitored visitations and exchanges. 2. Ensure volunteers are scheduled for hours of operation. 3. Ensure law enforcement personnel are present during the operating hours of the program. 3. Assist with record keeping for monitored visitation and child exchanges. Other clerical duties apply such as answering telephone, documentation of communication with parents utilizing the program. 4. Informs Director of any problems concerning the children and/or family members utilizing the program. 5. Responsible for keeping all materials, furniture, games, crafts, etc. in good working order and reasonably stocked. 6. Plans and implements special craft projects throughout the year. 7. Represents Kids First Program at various community functions. 8. Maintains established organization policies, procedures, safety, environmental, and infection control.
