Job Description

Position Overview:
Brain Health USA is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT). This is a field-based role where clinicians respond to mental health crisis calls in the community, including homes, schools, and board and care facilities. Clinicians may chart from the office or from home. The LCSW will conduct on-site assessments, provide crisis intervention, and determine appropriate levels of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to mobile crisis calls in the community in a timely manner Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments in the field Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning Assess for danger to self, danger to others, and grave disability Initiate involuntary psychiatric holds (5150/5585) when appropriate (training provided) Coordinate care with hospitals, law enforcement, DMH, and community providers Complete timely and thorough clinical documentation in accordance with DMH standards Provide referrals and linkage to appropriate mental health and social services
Training Provided:
5150/5585 hold writing and legal criteria Crisis intervention and field safety DMH documentation standards and billing requirements
Qualifications:
Active California LCSW license (required) Experience in mental health, crisis work, or community-based settings preferred Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based environment Comfortable responding to crisis situations in various community settings
Schedule:
Full-time and part-time positions available Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends

Pay:
$55.00 - $65.00 per hour
