Job Description
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medical Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate psychosocial support to patients . Your expertise will help navigate complex emotional, social, and practical challenges associated with health conditions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clinical settings, and community-based programs. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify social, emotional, and environmental needs, utilizing clinical counseling and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Develop personalized care plans that incorporate behavioral health strategies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and group therapy. Provide individual and group psychotherapy sessions focused on mental health counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, dementia care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Facilitate crisis intervention and crisis management to support patients experiencing acute emotional distress or behavioral challenges. Maintain accurate medical documentation and social work records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with intake procedures for new patients and contribute to clinical research initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes. background in adult & family counseling, behavioral therapy, and clinical counseling techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical records management. Proficiency in working with individuals with disabilities, dementia (including Alzheimer's care), PTSD, or autism spectrum disorders. Excellent communication skills for conducting diagnostic evaluations, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention. Ability to manage sensitive information while adhering to HIPAA standards; Demonstrated capability in data collection for research purposes and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
