Clinical Social Worker - Spanish Speaking UCSF Medical Center Job Category Clinical Research Overview Description Clinical Social Worker I/II - Spanish Speaking Psych-ZSFG-Adult-TRS Full Time 70526BR Job Summary The Child and Adolescent Support, Advocacy Resource Center (CASARC) is designed to assist children and families who have experienced child abuse and/or traumatic grief by providing trauma-informed psychotherapy and clinical case management to facilitate the children and families' healing process. Assisting families in negotiating the various systems (school, legal, medical) impacting their recovery helps to accelerate their recovery. The Social worker I/II will report to the CASARC Clinical Coordinator and senior staff clinicians and provide trauma informed clinical services to children and families referred to CASARC for therapy. At least 80% of caseload will consist of monolingual Spanish-Speaking clients.
Please note:
The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role. For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range. To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/index.html Department Description CASARC is a program of the Division of Trauma Recovery Services (DTRS), which is part of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (DPBS; ZSFG). CASARC is a unique multidisciplinary clinic that serves children, youth, and families that have been impacted by sexual abuse, physical abuse, witnessed severe domestic violence or who have a family member who has been a victim of severe interpersonal violence, including family members of homicide victims. CASARC specializes in the treatment of sexual abuse and we are a founding member of San Francisco's nationally accredited Child Advocacy Center (CAC).
Required Qualifications CSW I:
Master's degree in Social Work or counseling in Marriage, Family and Therapy from an accredited university. Must be registered and in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a
Social Work Associate or Associate Marriage, Family Therapist CSW II:
(In addition to the above) Masters degree in Social Work or counseling in Marriage, Family and Therapy from an accredited university and requirements necessary for application for licensure as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences Experience providing child and family therapy in Spanish Experience doing child, family and trauma therapy and knowledge of child abuse issues Experience working with culturally diverse children and families Excellent documentation and clinical skills, ability to set priorities, work independently, excellent follow up, work well under pressure and deadlines Demonstrated excellent attendance and reliability Excellent organizational and strong interpersonal skills Experience doing clinical case management and outreach Preferred Qualifications Experience working with complex teams such as CPS, police, lawyers and medical providers About UCSF The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is a leading university dedicated to promoting health worldwide through advanced biomedical research, graduate-level education in the life sciences and health professions, and excellence in patient care.
