LCSW/LPC

serves as a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) and provides direct clinical services within the PHP and IOP programs. The clinician is responsible for diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and coordination of care in accordance with Virginia DBHDS regulations. Services are delivered using evidence-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered approaches to support stabilization, recovery, and community reintegration. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive diagnostic and biopsychosocial assessments consistent with

DSM-5-TR

criteria. Establish mental health diagnoses (if independently licensed as

LCSW/LPC

). Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans with measurable (SMART) goals. Provide required weekly individual therapy sessions for PHP/IOP participants. Facilitate structured therapeutic group sessions consistent with program curriculum. Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, suicide screening, and safety planning. Coordinate care with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, case managers, and community providers. Ensure continuity of care through discharge planning and aftercare coordination. Complete clinical documentation in compliance with DBHDS regulations, Medicaid requirements (if applicable), and organizational policies, including: Assessments Service plans Progress notes Individual therapy notes Group documentation Discharge summaries Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings. Maintain active Virginia licensure and complete required CEUs. Comply with all DBHDS, HIPAA, and state regulatory requirements. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling from an accredited institution.

Active Virginia license as:

LCSW LPC OR

LMHP-eligible status (LMHP-R/LMHP-S if under supervision) Minimum one (1) year experience preferred in behavioral health, PHP, IOP, or outpatient settings. Experience providing group therapy and crisis intervention. Knowledge of DBHDS regulations and Medicaid documentation standards preferred. CPR/First Aid certification. Successful completion of background checks (FBI, CPS), TB screening, and other employment clearances required by Virginia law.
