Our practice provides therapy and a variety of evaluations to children, adolescents, and adults to those in all phases of life.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Licensed Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing high quality, culturally competent therapy services to those in need. The candidate will have the option of working with children (5+ years), adolescents, and adults in individual, couples, and/or family sessions to address psychological and emotional difficulties. The Licensed Clinical Therapist is expected to utilize local area referral sources for needed specialty care, hospitalization, or advance psychiatric assessments and treatments. DUTIES Counsels clients to assist in adjusting to life changes and challenges, making changes to improve mental and emotional health, and overcoming dependencies In alignment with industry regulations and guidelines, maintains confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment Guides clients in the development of skills and strategies to deal with their problems Encourages clients to express their feelings and to discuss what is happening in their lives and helps them develop insight into themselves and their relationships Collects information about clients through screening measures, interviews, and observations Prepares and maintains thorough and accurate treatment records and reports Evaluates client's mental condition based on review of client information Develops and implements treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge Acts as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations Maintains quality care through participation in peer review, policy development and quality improvement programs Provides in-service training on relevant topics for co-workers as requested Attends required training and meetings Enhances skills through ongoing professional development Contributes to practice success by engaging in marketing activities to grow referral base Performs other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Completed education at the master's or doctorate level Active State of California license as a PhD, PsyD, LCSW, or LMFT 2+ years of experience as an independently licensed practitioner in the private practice setting is preferred Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders Knowledge of evidence-based principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders, and for career counseling and guidance Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, and cultures and their history and origins Commitment to ongoing clinical and professional growth Niche training in children, couples, trauma, EMDR, family, etc. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and during crises Flexibility and adaptability Genuine interest in helping others; clients and team members Excellent organizational skills High attention to detail High level of personal commitment and follow-through Excellent written and verbal communication skills Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Workspace Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
(with or without reasonable accommodation) Current staff is operating 100% remote however the candidate will have the option of working 100% remote or work in a hybrid environment (partial in-person and partial remote) Full-time, includes 25 clients per week Part-time, includes 15 clients per week Full time and part time employees are required to attend weekly staff meetings and optional group case consultation meetings bi-weekly General work hours are Monday
  • Friday; 8AM
  • 7PM with 1-2 evenings or Saturdays, however candidate will be asked to submit ideal work schedule upon being hired Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Occasionally lifting/carrying objects up to ten pounds
