Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychological support to individuals across diverse age groups and backgrounds, fostering resilience and promoting mental well-being. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges through evidence-based practices and personalized care. Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify client needs. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans incorporating various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Deliver individual, group, family, and pediatric counseling sessions focused on mental health counseling, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and behavioral management. Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure immediate safety and stabilization for clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies. Maintain detailed medical documentation, medical records, and HIPAA-compliant records of patient care while adhering to confidentiality standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Participate in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to enhance treatment outcomes and contribute to evidence-based practices. Provide telehealth services utilizing secure platforms to expand access to mental health support beyond traditional settings. Skills Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care (including PTSD), and addiction counseling. Strong working knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate diagnosis documentation. Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, and patients with chronic pain or disabilities. Skilled in crisis intervention strategies, crisis management protocols, behavior management techniques, and social work principles. Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health conditions; experience with medical documentation systems compliant with HIPAA regulations. Ability to conduct intake assessments effectively while managing patient caseloads within outpatient or inpatient settings. Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms with a focus on patient engagement and confidentiality. Knowledge of special education considerations for pediatric populations; experience working within hospital or clinic environments preferred. Strong communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams; ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
