In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across various settings. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges, promoting resilience and well-being. This position offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of client needs, from developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders to PTSD and addiction recovery, all while utilizing evidence-based practices and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Duties Conduct thorough intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning for individuals across age groups, including children, adults, and geriatrics. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and Christian counseling when appropriate. Implement evidence-based interventions for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, addiction issues, and other mental health conditions. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety. Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA standards for confidentiality and data security. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including medical professionals, educators in special education settings, and community organizations—to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Participate in clinical research activities or data collection efforts aimed at improving treatment outcomes and advancing behavioral health knowledge. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Proven experience in psychotherapy, mental health counseling, case management, and diagnostic evaluation within clinical settings. Strong working knowledge of EMR systems, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical records management. Expertise in working with children, individuals with autism or disabilities, geriatrics including Alzheimer's care and Geriatrics-specific interventions. Familiarity with behavioral health modalities such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), psychopharmacology considerations, addiction counseling, trauma-informed care including PTSD care protocols. Ability to perform patient assessments effectively while managing intake processes and providing crisis management when necessary. Excellent communication skills for conducting individual/group counseling sessions and engaging with patients from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of all patient information; experience with medical documentation is essential.
