JOB DETAILS- Psychologist/Psychotherapist/Counselor
ABOUT US
Northern Virginia Psychiatric Group (NOVAPSY) is a multi-disciplinary group practice offering a broad range of psychiatric, psychotherapy related treatments for adult, adolescent, and geriatric age groups since 1978. We are in Fairfax Virginia. Our practice is currently seeking a full-time Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Clinical Psychologist to join outpatient practice in Northern Virginia. Our office provides a warm, friendly, and inviting environment for clinicians and our patients with administrative support for the prospective clinician.
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed master level Social Worker, LCSW or Counselor, LPC. Prior relevant work experience is preferred but is not mandated. The candidate must have an independent Virginia license in one of the counseling professions (social worker, psychologist, marriage and family therapist, licensed professional counselor, etc.).
JOB DESCRIPTION
Experienced in treating patients presenting with a range of clinical disorders, our practice mostly deals with affective disorders but on an infrequent basis other disorders may be encountered by the prospective clinician. Provide individual cognitive-behavioral therapy, supportive psychotherapy, interactive, interpersonal psychotherapy to adolescents, and adults for relevant disorders as applicable. Collaborate with the patient (and family as applicable) to develop a treatment plan to address identified treatment goals and interventions in psychotherapy. Timely and complete documentation and billing for services provided.
