In this engaging position, you will assess patient needs, develop tailored treatment plans, and provide evidence-based psychotherapy to diverse populations. Your expertise will support individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, fostering resilience and promoting well-being. Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems to inform treatment planning. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions incorporating modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. Manage crisis intervention cases with prompt and effective responses to urgent mental health needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including case management and integration of medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Document clinical encounters accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, including medical terminology and detailed notes on patient progress. Engage in clinical research activities related to behavioral health interventions, addiction counseling, PTSD care, autism spectrum disorders, Alzheimer's care, and working with individuals with disabilities. Facilitate intake assessments for new clients, develop personalized treatment plans, and monitor ongoing progress through data collection and patient assessment tools. Participate in continuous professional development in areas such as psychopharmacology, crisis management, special education strategies for pediatrics, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Skills Expertise in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Proficiency in motivational interviewing to support behavior change and enhance patient engagement. Strong background in child & family counseling, pediatrics, geriatrics, and working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. Experience in home & community care settings as well as hospital environments. Knowledge of medical documentation standards, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology. Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient documentation and data management. Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations for mental health conditions such as PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, addiction issues, and more. Excellent case management skills coupled with crisis management capabilities. Compassionate approach to social work combined with a strong understanding of behavioral health principles.
