Position Summary:
The Master's-Level Counselors will provide crisis intervention, suicide prevention, referrals, and counseling to individuals who contact the Alaska Treatment Center for emotional distress, particularly those at high risk for suicidal and/or homicidal thoughts and behaviors. The Master's Level counselor services will be done in the clinic or via telehealth services. He/she will accurately maintain and administer follow-up appointments as needed, and collaborate with the other clinicians at ATC for case management, and the office manager for scheduling clients.Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for conducting assessments, counseling, referrals, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention support in clinical or telehealth settings during scheduled hours. Responsible for completing patient notes within three days of the appointment Ability to navigate and document on the EHR (Icanotes) independently. Document all services performed for accurate billing for services provided in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. Manage interactions to ensure an appropriate level of support is provided efficiently.Minimum Qualifications:
A Master's Degree in psychology, social work, or a related field required Active listening skills and efficiency with information-gathering, and problem-solving to facilitate resolution of inquiries. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor when handling crises and other difficult contacts At least 1- 2 years experience in providing client care (preferred but not required) Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Licensed counselors w/o experience
