Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate MI/SU Master's Level Therapist to join our team in Covington County. This position operates within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model, providing person-centered mental health and substance use treatment services to individuals experiencing co-occurring behavioral health needs. In this role, you will provide direct clinical services, clinical consultation, training support, and therapeutic interventions while helping promote integrated care, recovery, and continuity of treatment for consumers.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree required in a mental health-related field Successful completion of Alabama Department of Mental Health (DMH/MR) State-Mandated Training Program following hire Must obtain Substance Use (SU) Certification within 30 months of hire Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and therapeutic intervention skills Ability to effectively serve individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders Experience in integrated behavioral health, crisis intervention, or substance use treatment preferred Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
Responsibilities:
Provide direct treatment services including individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, collateral counseling, and therapeutic support for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use needs Complete comprehensive mental health and substance use assessments, including MI and SU evaluations, to support treatment planning and service coordination Develop and maintain individualized, person-centered treatment plans that support recovery, stabilization, and long-term wellness Provide case consultation, clinical collaboration, and training support to clinical staff as needed Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with agency standards, regulatory requirements, and CCBHC guidelines Support integrated care coordination and continuity of services across providers and treatment settings Remain flexible in supporting additional clinical service needs as required to meet program and consumer care demands Promote recovery-focused, trauma-informed, and evidence-based treatment practices within the CCBHC care model Must have Master's degree in mental health related field; current driver's license, eligibility for coverage under center liability insurance and individually held vehicle liability insurance and clear background check.
