  • Part-time, Contract Overview We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Mental Health Consultant to support adolescents and young adults in a Job Corps setting.
This role focuses on mental health assessment, short-term counseling, crisis intervention, wellness education, and supporting student employability through collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. Responsibilities Conduct mental health assessments, intakes, and case management for students. Review intake forms and identify mental health needs and barriers to employability. Develop support and accommodation recommendations for students when appropriate. Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention services. Collaborate with counseling staff, wellness staff, physicians, and TEAP specialists to support student care. Assist with psychoeducational groups focused on stress management, anger management, relationships, and other wellness topics. Provide mental health education and wellness presentations for students and staff. Participate in monthly meetings with leadership regarding mental health program updates and trends. Coordinate referrals to outside mental health providers when needed. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards. Qualifications Active, unrestricted independent clinical license in Alabama. Licensed Clinical/Counseling Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Minimum of 1 year of experience providing mental health assessment and treatment services to adolescents and young adults. Minimum or 1 year post clinical licensure experience. Strong communication, crisis intervention, and collaboration skills preferred.

$30.00
