In this vital role, you will provide expert mental health counseling and psychotherapy services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges, fostering resilience and well-being through evidence-based practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in individuals' lives while working in a supportive, collaborative environment committed to excellence in patient care. Duties Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, family, and crisis intervention therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement specialized counseling techniques for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, grief, addiction issues, chronic pain, gender identity concerns, and other behavioral health conditions. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to provide remote counseling services while maintaining HIPAA compliance and ensuring secure medical documentation. Engage in case management activities including patient assessment, progress tracking through data collection, medical records documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Apply crisis management skills to respond promptly to urgent situations involving suicidal ideation or severe behavioral disturbances. Maintain accurate medical terminology records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality and privacy standards. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent credential with demonstrated experience in clinical mental health counseling. Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and psychopharmacology knowledge preferred. Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and geriatrics is highly desirable. Strong background in crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology related to behavioral health. Prior telehealth experience combined with excellent patient care skills to deliver effective outpatient services remotely or in clinic settings. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating excellent communication skills. Knowledge of special education practices and experience supporting patients in inpatient or outpatient settings is a plus. Join us in delivering compassionate mental health services that empower individuals to thrive! We are committed to fostering a positive work environment where your skills can flourish while making a lasting impact on the communities we serve.
