In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Your expertise will support individuals facing mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, trauma, addiction, and behavioral issues. This position offers an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful difference through direct patient care, clinical assessments, and innovative therapeutic interventions in both outpatient and inpatient settings. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans that promote recovery, resilience, and well-being. Responsibilities Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately document client conditions. Deliver evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and group therapy tailored to individual needs. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during emergencies. Provide specialized counseling for children and families, including working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, and special education needs. Manage medical documentation with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, ensuring accurate medical records and timely updates of patient care notes. Collaborate with medical professionals on medication management related to psychopharmacology when appropriate. Engage in clinical research activities and data collection efforts to support ongoing program development and quality improvement initiatives. Facilitate telehealth sessions utilizing secure platforms to expand access to mental health services across diverse populations. Offer grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and chronic pain management as part of a comprehensive treatment approach. Participate in case management activities including patient assessment, treatment planning, progress monitoring, and discharge planning. Experience Proven experience in clinical mental health counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings. Strong background working with children, adolescents, adults with disabilities or developmental challenges. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and crisis management procedures. Experience delivering psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, or applied behavior analysis (ABA). Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation. Prior telehealth experience is preferred but not required; comfort with virtual platforms is essential. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in hospital or clinic environments while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards.
