Working with children Health information management Full Job Description Overview Join our dynamic Christian centered mental health team at LIFE Psychiatry as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based mental health services to diverse populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise to support individuals across outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings. As an LPC, you will be instrumental in providing psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and comprehensive assessments, fostering positive outcomes for clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your dedication will help promote mental wellness and resilience within our community. Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments, intakes, and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine appropriate treatment plans. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Deliver specialized services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, trauma care for PTSD, and gender issues counseling. Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure client safety during emergencies. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology effectively. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management efforts for patients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or chronic pain conditions. Participate in clinical research projects to enhance treatment approaches and contribute to evidence-based practices within behavioral health. Skills Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy. Expertise in working with children and adolescents, including special education needs and pediatric populations. Strong background in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation. Experience providing telehealth services with proficiency in telehealth platforms and related technology. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards. Ability to conduct intake assessments and patient evaluations efficiently while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
