In this role, you will facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups that promote emotional wellness, recovery, skill development, and community engagement for adults receiving inpatient behavioral healthcare. - Friday, 8:00am
- 4:00pm Saturday
- Sunday, 8:00am
- 5:00pm Responsibilities Facilitate engaging psychoeducational, process, and skills-based groups for adult patients receiving inpatient mental health treatment.
Create a safe, supportive, and therapeutic group environment that encourages participation and recovery.
Lead discussions on topics including:
Coping skills Stress management Emotional regulation Communication Healthy relationships Mindfulness Self-esteem Goal setting Collaborate closely with therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and the interdisciplinary treatment team. Document group attendance, participation, and progress in accordance with facility standards and regulatory requirements. Encourage patient engagement while utilizing trauma-informed and person-centered approaches. Adapt group materials to meet the varying needs and functioning levels of patients. Assist with therapeutic programming and special activities that support patient recovery. Maintain professional boundaries while fostering a respectful and positive treatment environment. Support facility policies, safety standards, and accreditation requirements. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Sociology, Behavioral Science, or another related field. Excellent communication and group presentation skills. Strong organizational and documentation abilities. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Passion for helping individuals with mental health disorders achieve recovery. Preferred Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or another related behavioral health field. Previous experience facilitating therapeutic or psychoeducational groups. Experience working with adults in an inpatient psychiatric, behavioral health, crisis stabilization, or residential mental health setting. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented treatment, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral interventions.
