In this role, you will provide high-quality therapeutic services to adults receiving treatment for primary mental health disorders in a structured inpatient setting. If you are passionate about helping individuals stabilize, heal, and build the skills needed for long-term recovery, we'd love to hear from you. Position Summary The Licensed Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical services, including individual therapy, group therapy, biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, family collaboration, and discharge planning. Working alongside an interdisciplinary team, you will help create individualized treatment plans that promote emotional wellness, symptom stabilization, and successful transitions to lower levels of care. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and biopsychosocial assessments upon admission. Develop individualized treatment plans that address each patient's clinical needs and recovery goals. Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. Complete progress notes, treatment plan updates, discharge summaries, and other required clinical documentation. Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, behavioral health technicians, and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team. Participate in daily treatment team meetings and clinical case consultations. Provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and de-escalation when clinically appropriate. Assist patients in developing healthy coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, communication techniques, and relapse prevention strategies. Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and available community resources. Coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care with outpatient providers and community agencies. Maintain patient confidentiality while adhering to HIPAA and ethical practice standards. Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations, Joint Commission standards, and company policies. Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities. QualificationsRequired Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related behavioral health field. Active Arkansas licensure as one of the following:
LPC LCSW LAC LMSW
Ability to complete clinical documentation accurately and efficiently. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient behavioral health environment. Preferred Experience working with adults in a primary mental health inpatient treatment setting. Experience treating patients with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions. Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care. Experience working within multidisciplinary treatment teams. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
