Job Description

Header Overview Join our dynamic behavioral health team as a Primary Therapist, where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive mental health and addiction treatment services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with diverse patient populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, in various settings such as outpatient clinics, community programs, and hospital environments. As a Primary Therapist, you will utilize evidence-based practices to facilitate healing, foster resilience, and promote long-term recovery. Your expertise will directly impact individuals' lives by providing compassionate care and innovative therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding standards and medical terminology to develop personalized treatment plans. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, DBT, Trauma informed, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement motivational interviewing techniques to enhance patient engagement and motivation for change. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety. Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including case management, social work, treatment plans, problem lists, ASAM, addiction counseling, and medical staff, ensuring seamless integration of services. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while documenting patient progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes. Facilitate intake assessments for new patients and conduct ongoing patient care evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment approaches accordingly. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; licensure or certification as required by state law. has supervision hours Proven use of EMR systems, KIPU Proven experience in behavioral health settings with expertise in mental health counseling, addiction medicine, crisis intervention, and case management. Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation processes using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10) and familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes. Skilled in delivering evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care for PTSD patients, and group therapy facilitation. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage patients across diverse backgrounds while adhering to confidentiality standards like HIPAA. Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism. $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
