Social Work Associate's degree Full Job Description Group Facilitator Job Description Enhanced Wellness Center LLC is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Group Facilitator to join our behavioral health team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping individuals struggling with mental health and substance use disorders through engaging therapeutic group services and supportive client care. Position Summary The Group Facilitator is responsible for leading psychoeducational and therapeutic group sessions for individuals participating in outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services. This role involves creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment that promotes recovery, emotional wellness, relapse prevention, and personal growth. The Group Facilitator will collaborate with clinical staff to support individualized treatment goals while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with HIPAA and agency standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational group sessions related to substance abuse, mental health, relapse prevention, coping skills, anger management, communication, stress management, life skills, and recovery support. Utilize evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), behavioral therapy techniques, and trauma-informed care practices. Encourage positive participation, peer support, and healthy group dynamics during sessions. Conduct client check-ins and assist with identifying behavioral health needs, barriers to treatment, and recovery progress. Collaborate with counselors, Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), case managers, and clinical supervisors regarding client care and treatment planning. Complete accurate and timely documentation including DAP notes, attendance records, treatment updates, and incident reports using the ICANotes electronic health record (EHR) system. Enter group counseling notes, treatment plans, progress updates, and client documentation into ICANotes in accordance with agency timelines and compliance standards. Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations and agency policies. Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary. Support transportation coordination, appointment reminders, and recovery resource referrals when applicable. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, clinical supervision, and quality improvement activities. Maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards at all times. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred. Previous experience facilitating groups in behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, mental health, or social services settings preferred. Experience using ICANotes or similar behavioral health electronic health record systems preferred. Knowledge of co-occurring disorders, addiction recovery principles, and behavioral health interventions. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage group dynamics and respond appropriately during crises. Experience with documentation, treatment planning, and electronic medical records preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards. CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Valid Arizona Driver's License and reliable transportation preferred.
