This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in building structure from the ground up, is comfortable facilitating and modeling group programming in PHP/IOP settings, and is committed to establishing strong clinical foundations for long-term scale. The Clinical Director will oversee clinical services, staff development, compliance, and program integrity while actively participating in early program group facilitation and curriculum development. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic oversight and direct clinical involvement. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Program Development Lead the development and implementation of PHP/IOP group programming in an early-stage clinical environment Provide direct clinical leadership, including facilitation and modeling of group therapy sessions in initial program phases Design and implement evidence-based treatment frameworks including CBT, DBT-informed approaches, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care Establish and refine clinical workflows, treatment protocols, and documentation standards as the program grows Supervision & Staff Development Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to licensed and unlicensed clinicians Support hiring, onboarding, and training of clinical staff Foster a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented clinical culture Patient Care & Clinical Oversight Oversee intake assessments, treatment planning, diagnosis, and ongoing clinical review Ensure high-quality individual, group, and family therapy services across all levels of care Manage complex clinical presentations including co-occurring disorders, addiction, trauma, and crisis stabilization Compliance & Documentation Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and payer requirements Oversee accurate clinical documentation, treatment plans, and progress notes Support utilization review processes and clinical justification for continued care Quality Improvement & Program Growth Lead quality assurance initiatives, outcome tracking, and performance improvement efforts Collaborate with leadership on program expansion, census growth, and service line development Support development of policies and procedures as the organization scales Requirements Active, independent clinical license (LCSW or LPC required) Ability and willingness to actively participate in and help build PHP/IOP group programming in early-stage operations Minimum 3-7 years of clinical experience in behavioral health, ideally in higher levels of care (PHP, IOP, residential, or hospital settings) Strong experience with group therapy facilitation and program development Knowledge of evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT-informed care, trauma treatment, and motivational interviewing Familiarity with HIPAA, clinical documentation standards, and payer-driven healthcare environments Experience working with diverse populations including adults with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a startup-style clinical environment Ideal Candidate Profile Comfortable working in a "build as we go" environment Hands-on leader who leads by example in clinical groups and team culture Strong clinical judgment with the ability to create structure in ambiguity Passionate about shaping program culture, not just managing it Committed to high-quality, client-centered, outcomes-driven care
