Job Description

Job Summary Into Action Recovery is seeking a Therapist to join our growing behavioral health team in Scottsdale, Arizona. Under the direction of the Clinical Director and Program Director, the Therapist is responsible for providing direct client care, facilitating therapeutic groups, maintaining clinical documentation, participating in treatment planning, and supporting clients throughout the recovery process. The ideal candidate has experience working in substance use disorder treatment, enjoys facilitating groups, and is passionate about helping individuals build a strong foundation in recovery. Essential Responsibilities Facilitate individual and group therapy services. Conduct Behavioral Health Assessments as indicated. Conduct suicide risk assessments, safety planning, and crisis intervention when necessary. Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans. Monitor and document client progress toward treatment goals. Facilitate process groups and other assigned therapeutic groups. Provide weekly individual therapy sessions. Provide case management services as needed. Conduct weekly family contact and engagement. Complete discharge planning and aftercare recommendations. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation. Conduct assessments and screenings to determine treatment needs. Coordinate care with medical providers, case management staff, admissions, and support teams. Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical supervision. Assist with implementation of treatment curricula and program enhancements. Respond to critical incidents and behavioral emergencies as needed. Maintain compliance with licensing, accreditation, payer, and company requirements. Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications One of the following:
Master's Degree and Arizona licensure in a behavioral health field. Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of full-time behavioral health experience. Associate's Degree and at least two years of full-time behavioral health experience qualifying as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in substance use disorder treatment. Experience facilitating therapeutic groups. Experience with treatment planning and clinical documentation. Knowledge of recovery-oriented systems of care and 12-Step recovery. 2+ Years of recovery experience, if self-disclosed in recovery. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and the recovery process. Ability to engage clients in treatment and foster therapeutic rapport. Ability to prepare, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans. Ability to maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation. Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize client needs. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to crisis situations and behavioral health emergencies.
