Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help individuals navigate mental health challenges, manage behavioral issues, and improve overall well-being through evidence-based practices. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies or behavioral crises Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with client goals, incorporating techniques like motivational interviewing and behavior management Maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of medical records and progress notes Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care Engage in clinical research activities to enhance therapeutic approaches and contribute to best practices within behavioral health Requirements Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent credential with demonstrated experience in clinical counseling Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and crisis management Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, or patients with chronic pain conditions Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical terminology, and medical documentation standards Strong skills in patient assessment, intake procedures, case management, and patient care coordination within outpatient or inpatient settings Telehealth experience preferred for providing remote counseling sessions effectively across diverse populations Ability to handle sensitive situations involving gender issues counseling, special education needs, social work collaboration, and working with individuals with disabilities Excellent communication skills coupled with a proactive approach to crisis intervention and behavioral management strategies Join us in delivering exceptional mental health services that empower individuals to thrive! Pay:
$70,383.13 - $84,762.48 per year
