Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Group Facilitator to lead engaging group therapy sessions and support programs within our behavioral health and mental wellness services. In this vital role, you will foster a safe, supportive environment for individuals facing diverse challenges, including mental health issues, addiction recovery, trauma, and behavioral concerns. Your expertise will help participants develop coping skills, enhance their resilience, and achieve personal growth. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through collaborative facilitation, clinical support, and community engagement. Facilitate group therapy sessions for Domestic violence/ Child abuse, focused on mental health counseling, addiction recovery, trauma support, and behavioral management using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies during sessions to ensure participant safety and emotional stability. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, clinicians, and probation officers—to coordinate care plans and monitor progress. Maintain accurate documentation, including weekly progress notes, progress reports, attendance, and session summaries in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collect data on participant outcomes for continuous quality improvement and research purposes. Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols. Experience in Domestic Violence, Child abuse, Parenting and Anger management group counseling, is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the capacity to engage diverse populations in individual or group settings. Relevant certifications with a minimum of a Bachelors degree in social work, mental health counseling, child development, addiction counseling or related fields are preferred. 40 hrs Domestic Violence training certificate. $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
