Full-time, In-person Reports to: Program Director, Family Support Services/Home Visitation VACF is looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual, with strong communication and social skills to help the underserved population in Orange County and build a stronger and healthier community. This will be accomplished through our whole person approach alongside our various robust programs related to health and wellness, education, mental health and community building. Position Overview:

VACF with Every Family Home Visiting Collaborative (EFHVC) is expanding the reach of home visiting programs in Orange County to underserved ethnic populations and to improve maternal and child health outcomes. The Healthy Families America (HFA) model provides parental guidance and coaching in the home of the participant and includes services such as pre- and post-natal care assessment, developmental screenings, post-partum depression screening, and child development. The primary function of the FSS/Home Visitor is to serve the families by providing home visits for parenting, developmental assessments, home safety, and case management services.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide culturally sensitive and linguistically competent home visits Provide parenting and health education Assist families in identifying/accessing appropriate community resources Ensure program deliverables are met; maintain and complete accurate reports and documentation in a timely manner Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in early childhood, child development, human services, social work, psychology or a related field with one year experience as a community worker Experience working with or providing services to children and families Knowledge of infant and child development Demonstrate ability to be culturally responsive to the families served; Bilingual ability required Trained in the HFA model, preferred Valid CA Driver's License, reliable transportation, acceptable driving record, and valid car insurance Must pass criminal background check Utilize computers and Microsoft applications for efficient data management and reporting
