Job Description
Position Summary The Clinician delivers culturally responsive, trauma-informed psychotherapy and care coordination under BBS-eligible supervision. This role balances direct client care, high-quality documentation, and ethical practice while advancing toward licensure requirements. The Clinician supports patient access, engagement, and clinical outcomes through effective treatment planning, collaboration, and timely follow-through. MindDivers is looking for both full- and part-time clinicians. Essential Job Responsibilities Direct Care & Engagement Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy within scope consistent with BBS registration status and payer requirements. Complete biopsychosocial assessments , safety plans, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and on time. Conduct risk screenings and escalate per protocol (suicide risk, abuse/neglect, duty to protect/warn). Coordinate care with internal teams (e.g., psychiatry, case management) and external partners (e.g., schools, PCPs, CBOs) as appropriate and with consent. Deliver services via in-person and telehealth ; maintain a professional, private environment for remote sessions. Documentation, Quality & Compliance Document all services in the EHR (e.g., TherapyNotes) within 72 hours , including diagnosis, codes, and medical necessity elements per payer standards. Follow
HIPAA/PHI
safeguards, privacy practices, and mandatory reporting requirements. Participate in chart audits; resolve documentation defects and implement corrective actions. Supervision & Professional Development Maintain active California BBS registration (AMFT/APCC/ASW or trainee status) in good standing. Attend and prepare for required individual and/or group supervision; maintain weekly supervision logs and learning goals. Integrate supervisor feedback and complete required trainings (Law & Ethics, HIPAA, safety, evidence-based practices). Access, Throughput & Teaming Maintain productivity/encounter targets; manage cancellations/no-shows using reminders, outreach, and same-day fill strategies. Participate in huddles, case conferences, and in-services; share trends and solutions. Uphold organizational values—professionalism, empathy, accountability, and teamwork.Standard of Care Note:
Where payer, BBS, and organizational standards differ, the stricter requirement controls. Required Qualifications Master's degree in a qualifying behavioral health field (MFT, PCC, MSW, or equivalent). Current California BBS registration (AMFT/APCC/ASW) or eligibility to obtain within 60 days of hire ; maintains BBS Law & Ethics timelines as required. Knowledge of trauma-informed, culturally responsive care; risk assessment; mandated reporting. Strong written and verbal communication skills; organized, detail-oriented documentation practices. Proficiency with EHRs and productivity/reporting tools; basic Excel/Sheets competency. Preferred Qualifications Experience in community mental health and/or managed care. Familiarity with CBT, DBT, MI, TF-CBT, and other evidence-based practices. Telehealth experience; clinical documentation proficiency. Physical Demands & Work Environment (ADA) Prolonged computer/phone use; frequent sitting/standing; occasional lifting up to ~25 lbs.
