Crisis Residential Unit (Adult Inpatient)
Starting Compensation:
70000 - 80000
USD Per Year Working Location:
Merced, CA Working Hours/Shift:

A culture that celebrates and rewards your hard work and dedication This role is eligible for commuter benefits: Employees who commute over 20 miles one way may receive a monthly stipend: $200 per month for full‑time staff $100 per month for part‑time staff What you bring: Master's degree in social work, marriage & family therapy, or psychology from an accredited college or university required. One (1) year direct service experience in a mental health setting required (student internship and/or practicum time may be substituted). Experience in an inpatient therapy setting preferred.
Mental Health Specialist II:
Licensed as AMFT, ACSW, or APCC required.
Mental Health Specialist III:
Licensed as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC required. How you will make a difference Prepares a comprehensive written psychosocial evaluation and assessment on assigned clients, in addition to an intake note, daily progress notes, summary notes (as may be required) and a discharge summary. Responsible for assessing client's readiness for admission and coordination planning with treatment team, the client's case managers, and transferring facilities Responsible for assessing client's readiness for discharge and coordination planning with treatment team; working with case managers to effect appropriate referrals for placement, case management and aftercare services; coordinates benefits (Medi-Cal) with Business Office personnel; and maintains knowledge of community resources. Provides individual group therapy to clients on a weekly basis and as needed based on the needs of the clients Actively participates in treatment team meetings and is responsible for working with other disciplines to develop a coordinated treatment plan for assigned clients. Leads or co-leads therapeutic groups.
