- Part-time, Contract Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate/Licensed Therapist (APCC, ACSW, AMFT, Or the Like) to join our dynamic clinical team at our Mental Health Residential Program.
This role involves providing comprehensive psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. We are specifically looking for a Trauma Therapist with training in EMDR, IFS, and/or Brainspotting. EMDR training or certification is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in clinical counseling techniques, experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to supporting clients through various mental health challenges. Responsibilities Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients. Provide evidence-based psychotherapy modalities such as EMDR, IFS, Brain Spotting, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and family systems therapy. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to facilitate client engagement and behavior change. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention and crisis management strategies. Deliver group therapy sessions and facilitate support groups tailored to specific client needs. Collect, document, and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, and educators to coordinate care. Perform diagnostic evaluations using
ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
coding, and other relevant diagnostic tools. Engage in case management activities to support clients' ongoing needs within home, community, or hospital settings. Participate in clinical research initiatives aimed at improving treatment outcomes for various mental health conditions. Stay current with medical terminology, documentation standards, and best practices in behavioral health care. Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or related field. Valid licensure or registration as an AMFT, APCC, or
ACSW. EMDR
training or certification is strongly preferred. Experience with psychotherapy modalities including child & family counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, autism spectrum disorders, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Proficiency in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavioral management, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Knowledge of medical documentation standards including HIPAA compliance and familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10). Strong skills in patient assessment, clinical counseling, case management, and research methodologies. Experience working in hospital settings or community-based environments is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations including pediatrics.
