Registered alcohol drug trainee (RADT) Hopeside Recovery Center Roseville, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $21 - $23 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Incident response (Crisis management methodologies) Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Alcohol and Drug Trainee (RADT) to join our behavioral health team. This paid internship position offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in addiction counseling, behavioral health, and patient care within a supportive environment. As a RADT, you will work closely with licensed professionals to provide essential support services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. Your role will focus on fostering recovery, ensuring safety, and promoting positive behavioral change through active engagement and evidence-based practices. Duties Support clients during group counseling sessions by observing, documenting behaviors, and assisting with therapeutic activities. Monitor vital signs and medication administration under supervision to ensure client safety and compliance with treatment plans. Implement behavior management strategies using applied behavior analysis techniques tailored to individual needs, including working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. Collect and document medical records, progress notes, and data related to client care while maintaining HIPAA compliance for confidentiality. Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management when clients exhibit distress or escalate emotionally, ensuring safety for all involved. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate addiction counseling, social work principles, and trauma-informed care such as PTSD support. Participate in ongoing training on medical terminology, medical documentation, and behavioral health best practices to enhance professional skills. Experience Prior experience working with addiction treatment preferred, will train the right person. Knowledge of crisis management techniques and behavior management strategies is essential for effective client support. Training is provided. Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with individuals experiencing substance used disorder. Strong communication skills for engaging clients during intake processes and documenting clinical observations accurately. Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism while adhering to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards. Previous exposure to addiction counseling or social work environments will be considered an asset but is not mandatory; training will be provided. Pay:
