Position Summary:
The Clinician is mental health professional providing quality trauma-informed, comprehensive, strengths-based, culturally competent, flexible, effective services, including psychotherapeutic interventions to individual clients and groups as they move from crisis to self-determination.Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct mental health evaluations or assessments for all new participants. Knowledge of substance abuse disorder treatment and the impact on co-occurring disorders. Provide specialized consultation and therapeutic treatment for clients with co-occurring mental health diagnoses or disorders. Provide regular therapy sessions with clients. Function as the liaison between the program and community mental health clinics, as well as other resources for participants with co-occurring disorders. Facilitate various group activities, as needed, especially clinical groups on topics such as grief and loss, seeking safety, healthy relationships, etc. Conduct family evaluations and needs assessments for participants and significant other family members in coordination with primary counselor and counseling supervisor. Conduct individual/group therapy sessions. Work with staff and participants to ensure a healthy and effective therapeutic community environment in the program. All other duties assigned by supervisor or other management. Regular, predictable attendance is required. Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members. Other duties may be assigned.Qualifications:

A master's degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or related Human Services field from an accredited school (minimum requirement). License-eligible and registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or California Board of Psychology. Licensed by the State of California as an LCSW, MFT, LPCC or Psychologist Licensed LCSW, MFT, LPCC or Psychologist with experience and/or duties assigned as a supervisor or adjunctive program responsibilities.Other Skills and Abilities:
Interest and/or experience working with persons experiencing incarceration. Bi-lingual/bi-cultural knowledge is desirable. Works independently, flexibly, and as part of a team. Works effectively with outside agencies in providing client services.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
A current CA driver's license and proof of auto insurance are required. Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or the Board of Psychology. Annual TB test, CPR certification andDOJ/ FBI
