We Conquer Together is a residential primary mental health facility that is staffed and structured to support those with co-occurring eating disorders located in Yorba Linda, California . Our six-bed facility is intentionally designed to provide an intimate environment where individuals of all genders can focus on healing. At We Conquer Together, our mission is to provide compassionate, holistic, and evidence-based care that empowers individuals on their journey toward lasting recovery. We are seeking dedicated and empathetic Mental Health & Eating Disorder Technicians to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents.Job Description:
As a Mental Health & Eating Disorder Technician at We Conquer Together , you will play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment for our residents. You'll work directly with clients to provide compassionate care, promote healthy daily routines, and assist the clinical team in implementing individualized treatment plans. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in healthcare or behavioral health settings —such as inpatient, residential, or partial hospitalization programs—who have an interest or background in Eating Disorder Recovery . Familiarity with the All Foods Fit philosophy and the Health at Every Size (HAES®) framework is strongly valued, as these principles guide our compassionate, evidence-based approach to care.Key Responsibilities:
Provide continuous supervision and therapeutic support to clients within the residential facility, ensuring safety and engagement in daily programming. Foster a safe, compassionate, and recovery-oriented environment conducive to emotional and physical healing. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) , including at table meal support, self-care routines, and encouraging healthy coping behaviors. Assist in meal preparation and plating in accordance with the Registered Dietitian's meal plan and menu guidelines, ensuring compliance with each client's individualized nutritional plan and facility protocols. Monitor, observe, and document clients' behaviors, mood, participation, progress, and vital signs as directed by nursing or clinical staff. Support medication protocols by observing and documenting clients' self-administration of prescribed medications in accordance with facility policy. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to reinforce individualized treatment goals and behavioral objectives. Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation , following established safety and emergency response procedures. Conduct observational rounds and safety checks in alignment with program schedules and care team directives. Conduct waived testing (e.g., urine drug screens) in compliance with policy and maintain accurate documentation. Participate actively in staff meetings, supervision, and ongoing trainings to enhance knowledge of mental health, eating disorders, and trauma-informed care. Demonstrate adherence to Joint Commission standards and facility policies regarding Infection Prevention and Control, Environment of Care, and Emergency Management . Provide transportation for residents to and from admissions, discharges, appointments, outings, support groups, or approved recovery activities, ensuring safety and professionalism. Assist with resident intake and orientation , ensuring a supportive and organized transition into the program. Help maintain a clean, orderly, and therapeutic facility environment . Facilitate supportive or skills-based group sessions or outings aligned with your training and as assigned by the Clinical Director, fostering engagement and recovery while ensuring thorough documentation of group process and participation.Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required (Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus). Be able to lift 50lbs or more in the event a client falls or needs assistance getting up. At least 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting (either primary mental health or primary eating disorder treatment) is required Ability to pass a Livescan background check for the California Department of Social Services. Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Willingness to learn and adapt to the unique needs of our residents.
