Master's degree in counseling Full Job Description Overview Balanced Mind Counseling in Metro Denver is seeking a professional counselor to join our growing team. We have locations in Westminster, Aurora, Lakewood and Centennial. We have openings for fully licensed therapists as well as therapists still needing supervision hours for full licensure. We will provide supervision at no charge for qualified pre-licensed candidates that have completed a Masters program. We are looking for part-time to full-time clinicians who desire the unique opportunity of working on a private practice team that practice as a generalist or those that specialize in the following areas; Eating Disorders, Play Therapy, Marriage and Family Therapy, Trauma, Equine Assisted Therapy and EMDR. Our unique approach to service offers strong professional collaboration not normally found in the industry. Balanced Mind Counseling is unlike any other therapy practice. Position Include:

Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and treatment plans. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during urgent situations. Facilitate intake assessments for new clients, establishing treatment goals aligned with client needs and clinical best practices. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and case management records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers—to coordinate care for clients with complex needs such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, PTSD, chronic pain conditions, or substance use issues. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services for clients in various settings.
