Full time, 40 hours per week
Hours:
12-hour daytime shifts with an every other 8-hour shift on Wednesdays Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential. Shift differentials are also available for evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. The salary range for this position is SummitStone's good faith belief and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this position at the time of the posting. Role Overview:
Responsible for providing clinical support and direct care to clients in acute care and other bed-based settings. This role delivers client care, crisis intervention, and assessment in collaboration with medical and clinical staff to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. The clinician works with a multidisciplinary team to support treatment goals, clinical and medical services, safety planning, and discharge coordination. Responsibilities include crisis de-escalation, individual, group, family, and therapeutic interventions within unit programming, as well as supporting the implementation and monitoring of service plans with treatment clinicians. The position requires accurate documentation of interactions, group sessions, and clinical records. Daily work involves advocating for diverse and often marginalized populations, ensuring services are delivered in an inclusive, equitable, and supportive manner.
Essential Duties:
Provide behavioral health intervention on the unit to maintain patient and staff safety. Assist clients with intake paperwork, orientation to unit/program rules, and activities. Complete timely and accurate client documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Resolve client conflicts, de-escalate situations, and respond to emergency codes as needed. Collaborate with the clinical team to compose treatment and care plans. Develop individualized safety plans with the multidisciplinary treatment team. Support family meetings, visits, and discharge planning coordination. Create and maintain a trauma-informed, therapeutic environment for all clients. Facilitate therapeutic activity groups on the unit. Assist clinical and medical staff with tasks to support overall unit operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Level I Bachelor's degree in behavioral health, psychology, social work, human services, or a related field Level II Master's degree in related behavioral health field
Licenses and Certifications:
Completion of the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) Crisis Professional Curriculum through the OwnPath Learning Hub required within 90 days of hire unless already Crisis Professional Certified Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) in Colorado preferred Substance Use Disorder training program involvement required upon hire Valid Colorado driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire required; must maintain a clean driving record. Position involves safely transporting clients to appointments, community activities, and partner agency locations CPR and First Aid certifications required at time or hire or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire required
Preferred Qualifications:
