Mission:
Help to Home supports families at risk of homelessness, providing temporary housing, life skills and resources to break the cycle of poverty.
Position Summary :
The Family Support Specialist works with families facing housing instability, helping them develop comprehensive plans for achieving stability and self-sufficiency. You will guide clients through a structured program that includes budgeting, financial literacy, life skills and behavioral coaching, all while ensuring program compliance and fostering long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
Interview and assess clients for program eligibility, referring to other services as needed. Develop personalized short and long-term goals for each client, guiding them to achieve success. Provide case management, coaching and mentorship, ensuring clients are supported in their growth and behavior modification. Coordinate workshops on financial literacy, life management and coordinate events. Maintain accurate case records and track client progress. Work closely with other service providers and community organizations to ensure holistic support. Prepare regular progress reports for supervisors. Enforce program policies, ensuring client compliance.
Qualifications:
Passion and empathy for helping families in need. Experience is helpful but not required in social services or case management. Bi-lingual is a plus but not required. Knowledge of social work resources and effective communication strategies.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to assess client needs and develop effective individualized plans. Patience and ability to deescalate stressful situations. Strong Organizational and communication skills. Budgeting knowledge with ability to teach and monitor clients. Ability to work independently and handle multiple cases simultaneously.
Working Conditions:
Work in office, client homes and community settings. Flexible schedule with a commitment to client support.
Mental/Physical Abilities:
Ability to meet attendance and work schedule requirements. Ability to work with a diverse clientele and manage caseloads effectively.

Up to $60,000.00 per year
